Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer (apprenticeships)
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: £35-£45 per hour.
Job Purpose:
To be responsible for teaching on the carpentry and joinery courses and the development of a specific subject area, the leadership of a programme of study, classroom or lecture management, lesson
preparation and marking.
In line with qualification/experience, to be responsible for specific subject development, significant research/consultancy activity, master classes, course verification, co-ordinating course teams and course leadership.
To be responsible for the use of appropriate assessment methods, the achievement of learning and teaching goals and the recording of learner activity.
Responsibilities:
- Holds appropriate teaching qualification / substantial industrial experience (or is willing to work towards an appropriate teaching qualification).
- Has relevant subject expertise which will assist with the further enhancement of the quality of taught programmes within the department.
- Experience in a lecturing role / training role within the Further and/or Higher Education sector.
- Hold an NVQ in the subject specialism along with Maths & English at Grade C/4 and above.
- Hold a DBS on the update service and be willing to complete the compliance checks prior to starting if appointed.
